The HRIS Advisor, Reports and Analytics provides analytical support for the development, implementation, communication, maintenance, and administration of HRIS applications, programs, policies, and processes. This person plays a critical role in the Human Resources department and is empowered to make creative enhancements and drive continuous improvements to our current HRIS systems with the goal of providing robust data analytics to support business strategies. The HRIS Advisor, Reports and Analytics also participates in complex HRIS configuration and design execution for core HRIS processes. This role is expected to be an effective communicator who can lead the translation of business requirements to delivered technical reporting and analytic functionality and will serve as a liaison for scoping, estimation, and solutioning of new system releases and enhancements. Essential Functions: HR Reporting Strategy Consulting & Collaboration Understands the bigger picture and can communicate the impact of HR system and reporting process changes. Communicates through candid conversations about solutions, limitations, and change management. Develops and enhances strong partnerships/collaboration with departments to gather information and translate that into a reporting business process/system functionality that both aligns with the needs of the business and keeps the end user experience in mind. Serves as a consultant for human resources, third parties, internal IT and other stakeholders to resolve reporting functionality problems; understands integrated HR processes and seeks out tool solutions to meet business needs. Works closely with HR teams to support HR strategies and programs such as HR employee data analytics and metrics, talent acquisition, salary structures, market analysis, and LMS, etc. Supports and contributes to business process improvements that have a HR technologies component and serves on teams to explain system impacts to business process changes. Leads production support for HR reporting systems. Collects/assesses customer feedback and provides troubleshooting support and conducts root cause analysis of system issues. Stays current with system changes and understands full functionality and behavior of software to troubleshoot problems, provide full support to end users and drive business value through enhancements. Recommends new system reporting functionality and/or configuration and typically leads upgrade planning; performs major reporting system enhancements and supports new product development. HR Report Development Consultation with Stakeholders Uses HR data to share compelling information with business leaders to improve decision making and identify trends for proactive planning. Designs and develops dashboards to answer relevant business questions and communicates report data in a concise and easy to understand format. Leverages technology to deliver the right information to the stakeholder in a timely fashion. This would include creating dashboards and dynamic reporting. Performs complex data manipulation and aggregation of data from multiple HR data sources. Serves as subject matter expert for HR reporting capabilities. Owns reports, queries, and data analytics. Develops simple to complex HR reports using data from multiple HR data sources. Integrates disparate data from multiple systems and tools. Project Management Responsible for project management including development of project plans, scheduling, and planning, monitoring and status reporting against planned deliverable, benefits and milestones, resource and program tracking, development and management of risk, issue, and action logs. Leads design and implementation of system enhancements and changes. Works with vendors to develop data imports, exports, and reporting; establishes recurring data feeds, troubleshoot data issues with HR and vendor contacts, and leads projects to modify existing interface requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Human Resources, IT or Computer Science. At least five (5) years of experience in HR and HRIS, including HRIS systems and application experience- Compensation, Performance Mgmt, LMS, Applicant Tracking, etc. Strong track record of success using BI Cognos to support HR and business reporting needs. Solid understanding of HR principles, programs, and practices. Strong understanding of the context of Human Resources role and function within the organization; understanding of HR processes, programs, and data. Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other business-related software Solid ability to consult and transfer knowledge of critical HRIS skills. Ability to build on knowledge of the organization, its processes, and customers to provide recommendations regarding system solutions. Analyzes and solves complex business problems. Requires strong communication and diplomacy skills to guide, influence, and convince others, particularly management/colleagues in other HR areas. Ability to translate highly technical concepts into terms understandable by business partners inside and outside of HR. Works as a collaborative part of the project team in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment. Strong ability to multi-task and balance multiple priorities.
