Consider yourself an aspiring Accounting wizard and like meeting new people? BerganKDV’s Financial Accounting and Advisory Services Team (FAAST) is seeking an entrepreneurial spirited Staff Accountant, who has a passion for being THE utility player for clients ranging from $1-25MM or 10-100 employees in size.  Someone who brings an excitement for the full spectrum of Accounting and Finance duties. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES The Client Staff Accountant will compile and provide timely and accurate financial data to assist in preparing client financial statements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES Code banking and credit card transactions Complete bank and credit card reconciliations Record payroll journal entries Process accounts payable Process account receivable Basic knowledge and continued education of payroll rules & taxability Develop direct client contact for the purpose of retrieving and communicating specific information Familiarity with applicable accounting programs COMPETENCIES: With guidance and feedback from more senior employees, seeks to limit rework by producing quality deliverables on the first attempt, avoiding negligent errors Organizes work so that it can be easily interpreted by a reviewer or client Sets priorities according to external deadlines and project criticality; knows when to raise priority setting conflicts to management Leads by example, acting as a model for the firm’s core values Works well in teams Works hard, putting in extra effort when necessary to complete their assignments within given deadlines; self-starting, doesn’t need to be explicitly told to put in this effort; when set, meets weekly/engagement hours expectations Expresses themselves effectively orally and in writing; takes complex thoughts, synthesizes them into words using clear, concise language, and presents a cohesive narrative Appropriately references and documents their work  REQUIREMENTS: 2-year Accounting degree required 0 to 3 years relevant experience Licenses/Certificates N/A Technology/Equipment: Microsoft Office and preference for knowledge in Accounting software.
