-Provides skilled nursing care such as; implementing practitioners’ orders, ordering and assisting with medications and supplies, operates medical equipment, and charting practices -Lifts and transfer residents as needed -Initiates emergency treatment as needed -Monitors work and performance of unlicensed staff -Updates RN with current observation and completes documentation of resident health status -Communicates changes in residents' conditions to relevant individuals -May support RN by completing resident assessments, service agreements and care plans -May assist Director of Health Services to meet comprehensive home care regulations Qualifications Required: -MN LPN licensure -AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers or Red Cross CPR for Professional Rescuers -Must be able to work independently -Good communication and interpersonal skills Preferred: -Previous healthcare experience -Must be comfortable using computers, hand held devices, phones and fax machine
