Fraser is looking for Mental Health Practitioners to provide clinical services to preschool-aged children. Job duties will include planning and executing appropriate day treatment services, under supervision. 

The Mental Health Practitioner position is unique as the caseload includes preschool-aged children with autism spectrum disorder and mental health diagnoses receiving day treatment services. The MHP is responsible for the day treatment skills training for preschool-aged children, documentation, and the possibility of family and/or group skills training. Mental Health Practitioners may also gain leadership skills through opportunities by providing direction to Mental Health Technicians.

Schedule:

  • Monday- Friday, during standard business hours

Requirements: 

  • Must be qualified in at least of one the following ways:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in behavioral sciences or related field OR 2,000 hours of supervised experience and no degree
  • Valid Minnesota Driver’s License with acceptable record
  • Experience with preschool-aged children with special needs highly preferred, not required
  • Demonstrated respect for sensitivity to family and cultural differences
  • Ability to accurately observe and document the behavior of children
  • Effective communication in the English language
  • Computer proficiency using Word and Excel with proficiency in keyboarding skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to promoting diversity, multiculturalism, and inclusion with a focus on culturally responsive practice, internal self-awareness, and reflection.
