We are seeking a MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST/MEDICAL LAB TECHNICIAN to join our team who performs laboratory procedures using established and approved protocols that require the broad exercise of independent judgment and responsibility with minimal technical supervision. Demonstrates the ability to maintain equipment and records, and to perform quality assurance activities related to test performance. Functions as an educator, shift leader or researcher within the clinical laboratory as needed. All individuals in this job classification meet the qualifications necessary to perform highly complex testing as defined by the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment of 1988.

MT, MLT or MLS will be considered for this role.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge of laboratory standards and practices acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or associates degree in medical lab technician.
  • Previous applicable experience beneficial.

LICENSE REQUIRED

  • Possesses active Medical Technology (MT-ASCP) or CLS-NCA certification or attains within 6 months of hire.
