Lee Health is offering an LPN to RN Residency Program (LPN Intern).  This is an excellent opportunity to grow in a high demand clinical field with exceptional coaching and training to prepare you for this next step in your nursing career.  Qualified candidates will interview with our Resident Development Specialists and will learn more about this program.

The LPN performs and documents selected tasks such as the administration of treatments and medications in delivery of patient care under the guidance and discretion of the registered nurse. Assist the Register Nurse in collecting health data according to established policies. Collaborates with other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes. Supports the organization vision and mission. Uses knowledge of patients age and cultural diversity into the provision of patient care. Contributes to the provision of quality nursing care through excellence in customer service and performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care. The nurse practice is guided by the code of ethics for nurses with interpretative statements. 

Works under the guidance of a clinical coach while in the Nurse Residency Program to develop needed skills and ability.

Job Requirements

Educational Requirements
Required:

• Graduate of an accredited vocational school of nursing. Must obtain Registered Nurse license within 3 years of hire

State of Florida Licensure Requirements

• Currently licensed as an LPN in the State of Florida

Certifications/Registration Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) current for a minimum of 90 days after hire date. Proof of American Heart Association Healthcare Provider.
• 30 hour IV Course required
• Communication and interpersonal skills, basic computer skills, and customer service skills required.
